Parent Teacher Connection (PTC)
The St. Angela Merici PTC's main function is to improve the educational experience of the children of St. Angela Merici School by developing a close relationship with parents, school administration, teachers, and students. Together we work to identify the needs of the school and students and develop solutions to enhance all aspects of the school environment, helping our children to become successful members of society.
The SAM PTC sponsors many of the events that the children of St. Angela's attend, including the Book Fair, Pastries with Parents, Candy Cane Shop, Homeless Stand Down, Father’s Mass Reception, Holy Thursday Easter Basket Assembly, Father-Daughter Dance, Mother-Son Outing, and Mother’s Mass Reception. In addition, the PTC sponsors the many teacher appreciation events throughout the year.
The PTC provides a means for parents to address areas of concern and to voice opinions and suggestions. Attending the monthly PTC meeting is the best way to stay informed of what is happening in our school and to be involved in the development of new ideas.
We hope you become not only a member, but an active member of the PTC and help to make a positive impact on our school.
Angel Scholarship Fund
The Angel Scholarship Fund (ASF) is a tax credit opportunity that benefits our school and its students. This State of Ohio approved Scholarship Granting Organization allows you to turn taxes into tuition assistance at potentially no net cost to you. Last year, our parishioners generously contributed over $157,910 in tuition assistance for 130 St. Angela Merici students through this Tax Credit Scholarship Program.
This year we are hoping to reaching our goal of $200,000 in contributions.
Here’s how it works:
Individuals may receive a 100% tax CREDIT against their Ohio income tax liability, with a maximum CREDIT of $750 ($1,500 for married couples filing jointly). Contributions made now through April 15, 2026 will be utilized in 2026, dollar for dollar, to benefit our students.
How To Contribute:
· Step 1 – Review your Ohio tax liability from last year (2024 1040 IT, line 8c) to estimate your 2025 State of Ohio tax liability.
· Step 2 – Use the contribution form or visit catholiccommunity.org/angel to make a one-time or monthly gift to the ANGEL Scholarship Fund through the Catholic Community Foundation.
· Step 3 – Claim your scholarship tax credit when you file your 2025 State of Ohio taxes.

Guardian Angel Tuition Assistance Program
St. Angela Merici Parish community is committed to providing a Catholic education to those families who desire a Catholic education. We will do all that we can to make your dream of a Catholic elementary education possible – where there’s a will there’s a way. This includes financial assistance through our Guardian Angel Fund to those who demonstrate legitimate financial need. Those families experiencing financial hardship may receive tuition assistance through our Guardian Angel Tuition Fund. To receive tuition assistance, families must complete a PSAS application in order to be considered to assistance.
