HI, my name is Marybeth McCormick and I am the RN-Licensed School Nurse here at St. Angela Merici Parish School.
I grew up in Rocky River, Ohio where I attended St. Christopher School and Magnificat High School. I have 4 sisters. I met my husband Bill when I was a freshman in high school and we have been married for 27 years. We have 4 children; Ashley who teaches 8th grade science at Avon Middle School, Molly who teaches math at Avon High School, Bobby who is a sophomore at University of Dayton studying accounting and Billy who is a senior at Saint Ignatius High School and will be going to University of Dayton in the Fall.
I like to skydive and I love to travel to Marco Island and Naples Florida or anywhere with my mom and my sisters and their families. We have been going to Florida for Easter since I was a child and continued that tradition with my sisters’ families (all 23 of us!) each Easter.
Before I had kids I worked at Duke University Medical Center and University Hospital, all in mother, baby and newborn nurseries :). I have been a school nurse for 9 years and have been at St. Angela’s for 7 years.
I attended Saint Mary’s College and Notre Dame, Indiana where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
What do you love about SAM
The staff and teachers who all are committed to the students 24/7.
At SAM I am the school nurse and I oversee all of the health records, vision and hearing screening, K screenings, and I am on the IAT team.
